BodyMind Psychotherapy
I love working with people who want to work deeply, and engage in exploration to the root of what wants to change. My approach is to cultivate a sense of acceptance and curiosity about what happens within the mind that echoes what happens in our lives, and foster awareness of that relationship with mindfulness. By working gently toward the shadowy, painful places, we can begin to unpack the wisdom within them, and transform our wounded places into a greater sense of understanding and self awareness. This process of self-discovery and integration is the ground, path, and fruition of our work together.
I draw upon two primary methods in my practice: EMDR and Hakomi, a deeply humanistic, bodymind psychotherapy. Together, they form a path to ease the suffering of both trauma and early wounding, both of which are usually part of the old patterns we wish to transform.
I offer gentleness and depth as we work together. I have a warm, open style of being with you in this process, regarding and respecting all territory as sacred in the journey towards wholeness.
